Votes, Notes, Minister-Posts & Reservation

Reservations for the OBCs, STs, SCs, Women, Religious minorities, and so on and so forth. There are no limits to it. And add to that the arenas in which these can be asked for – Primary education, Higher education, Govt Jobs, Private jobs…and so on. This policy of reservation can turn into a menace if it’s not being understood and implemented correctly.

So before we go all guns firing about the usefulness of this R-word, let’s first see whether we understand it. So what is reservation? A discount being given to a few castes and gender where government of this country feel that they have lagged behind because of socially unequal face of globalizing India. But why based on the origins of a person does he get reservation? Why not a major caste person living under poverty line in deplorable conditions gets the same right of reservation? He is equally downtrodden and unable to generate funds to equal the ‘background’ of the ‘qualified’ ones?

The answer is one word – POLITICS. Reservations, the kind of based on caste/creed/gender are the necessary catalyst for vote-bank politics. It’s rather a sad fact, that the sentiments generated on the basis of such ingredients are so huge that people can kill each other, leave the votes aside. And Politicians are the smartest creatures on this earth to master this art of raging such sentiments again and again for ‘Kursi’. If they are really interested in upliftment of people and providing equal opportunities, let’s classify people as HAVE and HAVE-NOTS and then take steps about the equalization, which we will talk about later cannot be achieved by Reservations. So it’s ultimately, ‘its all about money, honey’.

As pointed out in a brilliant analysis by a former IIM student that even reservation candidates will lose if it is being applied without thinking as the govt is hell-bent on. What I want to say is, if not reservation then what is the answer –

PRIMARY EDUCATION – This is where the focus should be. Why doesn’t the govt think of putting reservation regime in primary education? (It doesn’t give them votes…but why? It’s the IIMs which are hogging the limelight for mammoth salaries, not the primary schools J and it directly relates to the mind of the voters J got it..the same ‘mind space funda’). People should be divided amongst HAVEs and HAVE-NOTs and half the problem will be solved. Not Muslim, not SC/ST/OBC…we had enough for last 56 years, it only created more separation than cohesion. Thereafter, each school private or public should be forced to give admission to HAVE-NOTs for at least 30-40% of the seats.

SOFT-SKILL ENABLING – In most of the cases that I have seen, it’s on the soft skills front that most of the people from deprived sections (as they say) lag. In order to tackle this, centers should be opened which will be state-funded and have quality grooming for only such candidates. IIM-K’ s Centre for excellence projects is a case in point where they taught graduates from only such sections and the results are inspiring. Now, such centers will give them a serious chance of competing in all such higher studies competitions and get into IITs and IIMs. Here is that story

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE – I am sure that there are large number of deserving candidates from the ‘labeled castes’ and can achieve their dreams by joining premier institutions on merit with financial assistance from the Govt and scholarships from corporate world. “Believe you me”, a seat won on credentials is more satisfying than the one being given as a token of backwardness.

REALLY LATE – When a person is given reservations in higher education, and not when his foundation was laid in the primary standards, it’s too late. It’s not very easy to perform in IITs and IIMs against the so called – ‘qualified general’ class when cut-throat competition is pervading corporate India. And when comes the word PLACEMENTS, the ship is lost. Until and unless you have been trained at the lowest level and your foundation is in correct place, just getting into the playing eleven doesn’t mean that you will win the game. And to add one more analogy, in the world where teams are piling up 400+ scores and losing it out, how can you expect to win if you don’t fire your guns in the first fifteen. Same goes here!

So, If our politicians can think ahead of votes…they can get much better solutions to solve this problem rather than the Reservation. But the problem is…..WHO wants to solve the problem? Its all about votes, notes and minister-posts!!

Hi Iamon!

I'm going to change after a few months, because I want to put lots of posts on it. That's going to cost very much time. And that's the problem, because I have to spend my time on my exams now. After a month I don't have to go to school anymore! :-) I hope I'll be graduated by then.

Publishing via e-mail is actually very simple. You have to fill in the spaces in settings, e-mail. You can find your settings if you surf to www.blogger.com and log in. Click: change settings. Then you will find settings again.
After you've entered the secred name etc, save it and republish. Now you can email to the adres with the secret name in it. Make sure you only mail with the following lettertypes:Trebuchet MS,Trebuchet,Verdana or Sans-Serif. If you use any other I found that the blog can't publish it. Probably that was your problem?
Or maybe a picture you wanted to include, because you can't include pictures if you publish via e-mail.

I hope Iamin finds this comment, I also will put it on my blog, but can somebody explain me what I have to do when I want to react to somebody if that person has no email in his profile. Do you put your reaction on your own blog in that case or on the blog of the one who had an reaction on your blog?

Anyway... I have read a bit of this article and I think the problem is religion. That's besides also the reason why I've called my blog Unchained freedom. A country can't be totally free of all kinds of discrimination etc, if this country has got bad influences of spiritual forces that rule over (in this case) India. You can see the same problem in Israel and the surrounding Arabic countrys. They all have different cultures. These cultures are mostley generated by their religions. These relegions are the cause of conflicts that already lasts for ages. I don't now if you have ever read the Bible, because that is where I've got this spiritual knowledge from. You can find proof in the Bible that there are spiritual forces ruling over countrys and big empires over the ages. For example a 'spiritual' war is being fought out between a fallen angel 'the prince of the kingdom of Persia' and a very important angel of God 'Michael'. Daniel chapter 10 vers 11 to 14 is a piece of a conversation between Daniel(a person who was a very radical -radical is what I mean with setting your limits in freedom were God wants you to set them, so you can be really free- living person to God)and Jesus(Jesus existed already in the heavens from the beginning of the world, in case it confuses you) who was sended to Daniel because he prayed and had not eaten for God for something important. It sais: 11)And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. 12)Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.13)But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
14)Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.

Then from vers 20 to 21: Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come.

And indeed if you look at history, after the persian empire, the Greek empire showed up.

The use of prince is an exceptional name for this spiritual 'emperers'. The name god or goddis is less confusing. in Numbers 21 vers 29 is said: Woe to thee, Moab! thou art undone, O people of Kemos!...
Moab is a country and Kemos is a god.

To make sure you are not going to thing this is bulshit I've got one last very confronting bible tekst for you. It matches the problems described in the article.
Psalm 82 sais:
1)God standeth in the congregation of the mighty;he judgeth among the gods.
2)How long will ye judge unjustly and accept the persons of the wicked?
3)Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
5)They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
6)I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
7)But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
8)Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

Thats the reason why I say (and the Bible): For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities (I don't now how good your English is, but read princes, not principles), against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Philippians 6 vers 12)

Now you know what causes these strubblings, you may want to know what you can do to fight these spiritual powers.

When Jesus came to earth he thaught us how to do that. But the most important thing that he did was making it possible to do it. Just pretend there is one God, the God of Abraham, Isaak en Jacob (The father of Jesus) who made everything beautiful and perfect. One stupid proud angel (Lucifer) messes everything up by seducing Eve. She committed the first sin and quickly after this, Adam sinned to. Imagine something that smells very bad. Of course you don't wan't to stay near it's stence. Sin is for God as something smelly. He finds it discusting. Just as a bad smell sin brings distance and even a seperation between God and people.

Of course this wasn't the purpose of creating us. God loves us and God is a person who begins something, doesn't delete it when it's messed up like a failed blog, and brings it also to an complete perfect (eternal) ending. So to make close contact again with humans he send his son Jesus. He took by dying and resurrecting our sins away. Also after doing this and going back to heaven the holy spirit is send us to stay "tuned" on God.

Now we come to the part of "fighting" Because of Jesus sacrifise we are not anymore chained by the sins we committed and the dark spiritual world wich wants to keep us away from God. Jesus thaught us to walk in the Kingdom of God. In this kingdom you can be free, unchained. This is for country's,communities, family's and individuals. But there are some buts: You have to believe that Jesus is the son of God,and John 3 vers 3 & 5:3)Jesus answered and said unto hem, Verily, verily, Isay unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 5)Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unot thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom of God.

Being born again means that you have to change your mind to what God wants us to be; living without sins. Being born of water means being baptised and of spirit means receiving the Holy Ghost.

Having a view on the kingdom of God is only one choise and a prayer to Jesus away. To Enter the Kingdom you must be Baptized (even Jesus, who was without sin did this out of obedience to God) and receive (just ask Jesus if he will sent the Holy ghost to you) the Holy ghost. That's necessary for guidance of God in his kingdom and for protection against the rulers of the darkness of this world. It also means having close personal contact with God and having knowlegde and understanding of what is really happening in this world full of war. Fighting against this is the same as receiving strenght and boldness by prayer and mercy of God to share with others so that they also can find a live in wich they can be free.

Being free, because if God is with us, we have the opportunity to bind in the heavens. What we bind in the heavens (dark powers) will be bind here on earth. What we unbind in the heavens (for example curses)will be unbind on earth.

Praying for change helps a lot. So I hope you will make a choise for Jesus. If you have any questions, please ask me. Not everything I have posted is so very clear I think, but then my post would become even longer then now.

Now The last thing I'm going to explain is why I called my blog Unchained Freedom. The freedom of the world is that of imaginary freedom. If you don't believe and know how to handle the things that binds us on this earth, you can't know the truth about your own life and what inspires for example people as Hitler or Ceasar to conquer. But if you lose the life you are leading now, you will find your life, because you will learn what is real because of Jesus. If you think you have life, Then in they end you will lose it, because you're sort of chained by the rulers of the darkness of this world. Only if you let Jesus set you free of these chains by excepting he took away our sin on the cross to make al this possible, real changing of yourself and of the world around you is possible.

I realy hope very much that you accept Jesus in your life and of course that you can publish via email now.

Much love from Laura.
